The challenge
With stores located in high footfall locations, self-service kiosks are playing a vital role in enhancing and improving the customer journey. The core challenge was providing a reliable, scalable, and intuitive technology solution that could handle high-volume transactions while fitting into a new market's specific operational needs and supporting rapid growth.
Our solution
WRS installed kiosks, POS systems, and kitchen display screens (KDS) at all DUNKIN’ stores in the UK. The team also completed development, integration, and release of a custom ordering app across the UK estate, supporting both operational efficiency and customer convenience. The solution provides a unified platform that connects in-store and mobile ordering, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience for customers, whether they order from a self-service kiosk or their phone.
Resulting impact
Our partnership has delivered a streamlined ordering and payment experience, crucial for high-traffic stores. The implementation of self-service kiosks has significantly enhanced the customer journey, reducing wait times and giving customers more control over their orders. Internally, the new touchscreen KDS has improved kitchen operations, allowing staff to manage orders more efficiently. The full app integration for mobile ordering provides a new revenue stream and a convenient option for customers on the go. This scalable infrastructure is ready to support DUNKIN's ongoing UK expansion, ensuring future sites can be brought online quickly and efficiently.
