Steeped in history and culinary prestige, The Waterside Inn is a family-run restaurant with rooms, led by Chef Patron Alain Roux. In 2025, the restaurant celebrated an extraordinary milestone: 40 consecutive years of three Michelin stars, a feat achieved by only three other restaurants globally. With a team of over 60 and a legacy of uncompromising quality, The Waterside Inn has partnered with WRS for over 15 years to deliver a tailored POS system that supports its world-class service.

The challenge

The Waterside Inn needed a user-friendly POS system that could support both its restaurant and accommodation services. The previous system lacked flexibility and efficiency, particularly in stock control and billing. With a high standard of service expected by guests, the solution had to be reliable, intuitive, and tailored to the venue’s unique needs.

Our solution

WRS implemented a bespoke POS system featuring Stockade software, enabling detailed stock control and reporting across thousands of food and wine items. The system was customised to include promotional menu buttons and streamlined billing, allowing guests to receive a single, itemised bill for both dining and accommodation. This customised approach provided a seamless experience for both staff and guests.

The partnership has delivered significant benefits, including a simplified billing process for guests and enhanced stock control and reporting. The customisable till interface has been tailored to the venue's specific operational needs, ensuring maximum efficiency.
