Overview

Southampton FC invited WRS to present its POS solutions ahead of the launch of The Dell Bar, a new flagship venue at St Mary’s Stadium.

Following successful discussions, WRS was selected as the preferred POS supplier. Within just two weeks, WRS completed a full installation, including staff training, ensuring the venue was ready to maximise matchday revenue.

The Dell Bar now operates on both matchdays and non-matchdays, offering fans a premium experience powered by WRS technology. Behind the scenes, Kitchen Display Screens (KDS) streamline food orders and improve communication between front-of-house and kitchen teams.

The challenge

Southampton FC needed a fast, reliable POS solution for its new stadium venue, capable of handling high footfall and delivering a seamless experience for fans. The system had to be installed quickly and support both food and beverage service with minimal disruption. The club required a solution that was not only robust and efficient but also scalable to support future venues.

WRS installed integrated POS terminals, kiosks, KDS, and mobile ordering at The Dell Bar, completing the project within just two weeks. The system was designed to deliver speed, accuracy, and ease of use for staff, while enhancing the overall fan experience. Following the success of The Dell Bar, WRS solutions were extended to Southampton FC’s training ground and matchday Fan Zone, which welcomes thousands of supporters each home game.
