WRS COO Sophie Jackson Selected as Judge for Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards
WRS Chief Operating Officer, Sophie Jackson, has been selected to join the judging panel for this year’s Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards, where she will help decide the winner of the prestigious Family Business of the Year category.
Since its launch in 2003, WRS has grown into one of the UK’s leading hospitality and retail technology POS providers, supporting thousands of businesses across the country – and further afield – while remaining firmly rooted in its family values.

Having spent more than 12 years shaping the business, Sophie has played a pivotal role in WRS’s growth from a family run technology company into one of the UK’s leading providers of high end POS, self-service, payment and hospitality technology solutions. During this time, the business has expanded significantly, increasing both revenue and employee numbers while delivering complex technology projects for customers across the UK, Europe and beyond.
Sophie’s appointment as a judge represents another proud milestone in the company’s relationship with one of the UK’s most respected business awards programmes.
WRS has enjoyed success at the awards in recent years, winning Highly Commended in the Customer Loyalty category in 2024, before being crowned winners of the coveted Business Enabler of the Year award in 2025.

Sophie said:
“It is a real privilege to be invited to judge the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards. Having experienced the awards as a winner, I understand the passion, resilience and determination that businesses invest in achieving success.
“Family businesses are the backbone of the UK economy, and I am looking forward to recognising organisations that demonstrate innovation, outstanding leadership and sustainable growth. It’s an honour to play a small part in celebrating their achievements.”
Alongside her professional career, Sophie is passionate about supporting charitable causes and community initiatives. Over the past two years, she has completed two London Marathons, raising more than £20,000 for charity reflecting the values of teamwork, resilience and commitment that continue to underpin WRS’s culture.
Judging will take place later this year ahead of the awards ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel in November.
Everyone at WRS would like to congratulate Sophie on her well-deserved appointment as a judge and wish all the shortlisted businesses the very best of luck at the awards.
