Overview

Founded in 2008, Away Resorts operates 25 holiday parks in the UK. With a focus on delivering memorable experiences for families, the brand partnered with WRS to enhance its food and beverage offering and streamline operations across its sites.

The challenge

Away Resorts wanted to continue improving its customer experience through a new range of POS solutions across its sites. This included implementing handheld mobile ordering, POS systems, and kitchen display screens to create a more efficient and modern ordering process for guests at its high-volume holiday parks.

Our solution

WRS completed installations of POS tills, kiosks, handhelds, kitchen display systems (KDS), and integrated delivery and loyalty apps across all Away Resorts sites. These upgrades were designed to provide a cohesive, flexible, and efficient technology infrastructure that could support the diverse needs of the various food and beverage outlets, from restaurants and pubs to takeaways and coffee shops.

Resulting impact

Guests now experience faster service and reduced queues, thanks to the new systems. The introduction of kiosks at the fish and chip restaurant has been a massive asset, directly leading to an increase in the average transaction value (ATV) by £3 – £5. The new technology has also improved back-of-house operations, allowing Away Resorts to become more efficient in multiple areas of the business. This scalable tech infrastructure supports Away Resorts' future growth and commitment to quality.
