WRS Wins Dext Business Enabler of the Year at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards

Celebrating a Milestone Moment for WRS and our Clients.

At the 2025 Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards, WRS was named Business Enabler of the Year, sponsored by Dext.

It’s a recognition that speaks to the heart of what we do: enabling businesses to thrive through innovation, technical excellence and a customer-focused approach. The judges unanimously selected WRS for redefining what true business enablement means. For us, it’s never just about technology – it’s about creating end-to-end operational support that delivers measurable impact.

Why We Won

Our POS (point-of-sale) solutions are built for complexity and scale. Whether it’s real- time tax and VAT adjustments for international ferry routes or complete POS and inventory systems for major brands like Costa Coffee and Itsu, we make the hard stuff seamless. That adaptability is what sets WRS apart. But innovation alone doesn’t win awards. The judges praised our client-first culture, where partnership, accountability and empathy drive every decision. We take ownership – even for third-party systems – because trust and reliability aren’t optional.

A Night to Remember

The awards ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel was a celebration of British business brilliance. Hosted by ITV’s Ranvir Singh, the evening featured a moving performance by Lucy, the ten-year-old blind pianist from Channel 4’s The Piano, and entertainment from comedian Josh Berry – capped off by a surprise keynote from Louis Theroux. The event also saw a recorded message from Chancellor Rachel Reeves. Surrounded by some of the UK’s most inspiring companies, winning was the highlight of an unforgettable night.

Impact Beyond Business

This award also reflects our commitment to making a difference beyond commercial success. From supporting charity initiatives to enabling gift aid processes, we believe technology should create meaningful social impact as well as operational excellence.

As the judges concluded:

“WRS is the definition of a true business enabler – technically outstanding, operationally flawless, and relentlessly customer-focused.”

A Win for Our Clients

This recognition isn’t just ours – it belongs to every client who trusts WRS to power their business. Together, we’re proving that smarter hospitality starts here.

David Jackson, Chief Executive Officer at WRS, said:

“This award is a tremendous honour for everyone at WRS. To be recognised on a national stage, while supporting clients not only across the UK but increasingly internationally, is something we’re extremely proud of.

“Our growth has been built on hard work, innovation and a commitment to enabling our clients to thrive. This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our brilliant team and the trust our clients place in us every day.”
