The team at WRS put their best foot forward as they warmed up for the Isle of Wight’s biggest annual fundraiser – Walk the Wight.
Colleagues walked 26.5 miles on 2 treadmills, and around the local area, to raise additional funds to support Mountbatten. Team members took turns in a relay style event to keep ticking off the miles, in practice for the big event, which raises hundreds of thousands of pounds each year.

Business Development Lead, Simon Best, said:
“We know everyone enjoys a bake sale, so we opened our doors from 10:30am for staff and local businesses to come and purchase a treat too! There were cookies, rocky roads, cupcakes with Sheryll’s lamb kofta’s being a particular success. Obviously, the cakes balanced out all the walking!
“Thank you to our neighbours, Glanville’s, who came to support the sale where we managed to raise a grand total of £580.38.”

Mountbatten relies on donations and fundraising to help them continue the great support services they offer people in need and their families through difficult times.
Walk the Wight takes place on Sunday, May 12.
