WRS Unveils New Gift Aid Technology to Boost Charity Revenue

WRS has announced the launch of two new technology developments designed to simplify and accelerate Gift Aid claims for UK charities.

These innovative platforms, have been tailored for charity admissions and retail shops, in particular. Gift Aid is a critical funding source, yet the process of claiming an extra 25% on eligible donations has often been a manual and complex challenge.

WRS has tackled this head-on with two purpose-built solutions that automate the collection and reporting process.

Enhancing Admissions

The new admissions platform allows charities to capture Gift Aid at the point of entry. When a visitor makes a donation, the system automatically prompts staff for the necessary donor details. All transactions are logged and compiled into seamless reports, eliminating manual paperwork and simplifying HMRC submissions.

Optimising Retail Shops

For retail charities, WRS has introduced a comprehensive system that connects donated goods to donor records and tracks sales in real time. This platform allows staff to easily create donor profiles, print labels for items and generate automated donor statements. The system also provides full reporting capabilities, ensuring accurate and efficient HMRC claims.

This retail solution was originally developed as a bespoke platform for south coast charity, Mountbatten, who needed a reliable system after previous technology failed to capture Gift Aid correctly. The success of this collaboration has led to the wider release of the technology, ensuring more charities can maximise their funding potential.

Both solutions are available now, offering charities a smarter way to collect vital funds and streamline operations.
