WRS Team Members Support Walk The Wight
Team members from WRS team laced up their shoes and embarked on the annual Isle of Wight charity event, “Walk the Wight” in aid of Mountbatten Hospice.
Under the blazing sun, it wasn’t just about walking 26.5 miles across the beautiful Isle of Wight.
It was also about dealing with that scorching heat that made every step feel like a marathon in itself!
WRS Chief Operation Officer, Sophie Jackson, said:
“Even though the hot weather was tough, our team showed incredible resilience and determination. Each and every one of them pushed through the pain barrier to raise vital funds for Mountbatten, supporting the fantastic work they do for our community.
WRS was honoured to be a proud sponsor of this year’s event, joined by a team of 10 exceptional employees who all walked together. Being part of such a fantastic event was truly a privilege.”
The journey was not without its challenges, there were some sore feet and aching legs but with every mile conquered, team members drew closer to their goal, fuelled by the breathtaking views of the Isle of Wight’s picturesque landscape.

After nine long hours, when walkers finally made it across the finish line, the WRS crew felt like they had conquered the world. Sure, they were sore and aching, but the feeling of pride in knowing they had helped out a great charity outweighed all the pain.

Walk The Wight attracts thousands of participants every year, raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for Mountbatten.
