Powering the Perfect Matchday: WRS & Southampton FC

WRS was delighted to be invited by Southampton FC to discuss our POS solutions ahead of the opening of their brand-new venue at St Mary’s Stadium – The Dell Bar.

We showcased our full suite of technology, including POS terminals, kiosks, Kitchen Display Screens (KDS), and key integrations, before being selected as the preferred POS supplier for the south coast club’s new flagship bar and restaurant.

The Dell Bar: Where Tradition Meets Modern Efficiency

Working within a short timeframe, the WRS team completed a full installation within just two weeks, ensuring the venue could maximise matchday revenue. This included comprehensive staff training to guarantee confidence in using the system.

Our integrated POS and till systems provide fast, reliable service, ensuring that fans can get what they need without missing a moment of the action. Behind the counter, our KDS solution plays a vital role in streamlining food orders, improving communication between front of house and chefs, and enabling faster, more accurate service. The Dell Bar is now open to supporters on both matchdays and non-matchdays, delivering a premium experience at the heart of the stadium.

Fuelling the Fun in the Fan Zone

Impressed with both the technology and delivery, Southampton FC extended our solutions to their training ground and subsequently to their matchday Fan Zone, which attracts thousands of supporters every home game.

This growing partnership with Southampton FC demonstrates WRS’ ability to deliver reliable, innovative POS solutions at speed, in high-footfall environments, supporting both operational excellence and fan engagement.

Reliable Tech for Unforgettable Moments

Matchdays are about more than just the game – they’re about connection, community, and the full fan experience. By providing robust, user-friendly solutions – from POS tills to KDS and mobile order pads – WRS helps Southampton FC deliver an experience that is as smooth as it is memorable.

Sophie Jackson, COO, WRS, said:

“Working with Southampton FC has been an incredible project for the WRS team. Delivering The Dell Bar within such short timescales was a fantastic challenge, and seeing our systems – from the POS through to the KDS – making a real impact for both staff and supporters is something we’re really proud of.”
