WRS Sponsors Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club
WRS is proud to have signed a two-year sponsorship deal with Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club, a club steeped in history on the Isle of Wight.
The club was originally opened as a nine-hole course in 1900. A few years later James Braid, many times Open Golf Champion, was called in as an architect to help improve and enhance the course. Many alterations and improvements were progressively made until 18 holes were eventually completed in 1903.
Since then, Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club has continued to thrive and plays a key role in the community, bringing joy to players across the Island and further afield – with a membership total of more than 600 golfers.
WRS branding can now be seen on the club’s buggies, with our slogan etched onto the front:
‘We’re all about happy customers!’
Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club is well known as a prestigious 18-hole course on the Island, while also being one of the best in the Hampshire region, which is spoilt with great fairways.
WRS has a long history of supporting Island businesses and is delighted to be the club’s main sponsor.
